KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 14.28 g, 9 h), Amphipolis, struck under Antipater, Polyperchon, or Kassander, circa 323/2-316/5. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm frond in his right hand and reins in his left, riding horse to right; below horse, dolphin; below raised foreleg, pellet-in-Π. Le Rider pl. 46, 9 & 19. Lightly toned and very well centered, a beautiful example. Good extremely fine.
